In a visionary initiative aimed at nurturing the spirit of social responsibility, NaMo Vasavi Foundation proudly presents “Namma தென் Chennai.” This unique program is designed to inspire and empower young minds pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Social Work across Tamil Nadu. The goal is to turn their bright ideas into tangible and transformative change in the vibrant communities of South Chennai.
The journey of Namma தென் Chennai begins with NaMo Vasavi Foundation reaching out to the department of social work in various colleges across the region. Social work students are invited to participate and unleash their creativity and passion for community service. This initiative serves as a platform for students to contribute meaningfully to society and make a real impact.
Participating students are tasked with developing projects based on specific themes that resonate with the needs and aspirations of South Chennai(Velachery, Virugambakkam, Saidapet, Sholinganallur, Mylapore, T.Nagar). The visionary ideas submitted by students are collected and meticulously shortlisted.
What sets Namma தென் Chennai apart is that the winning idea does not end as a theoretical project on paper. Instead, it becomes a reality, shaping the landscape of South Chennai over the next five years. NaMo Vasavi Foundation is committed to turning innovative ideas into actionable projects that leave a lasting positive impact on the community.
This initiative not only fosters a sense of social responsibility among the youth but also provides a platform for them to bring about meaningful change. As Namma தென் Chennai continues to empower and amplify the voices of young social work students, the foundation envisions a South Chennai that thrives on the energy and ideas of its own community.
